Go Maz First Scan — What the Screener Found

This morning I ran the Go Maz Full Scan for the first time. The screener analyzes stocks across 7 rules — options volume, IV rank, support/resistance levels, chart patterns, volume confirmation, moving average alignment, and unusual activity. Each stock gets a score and a suggested trade.

Here's everything that came back, plus my notes on which ones actually fit Ed's framework for a $1K account.

Deep Dives — Stock Checker (Ed's Rules)

I used Go Maz's Stock Checker tool to run the top picks through Ed's full rule framework. This gives a more detailed breakdown than the screener — including liquidity data, IV analysis, and a suggested trade with specific strikes.

AMD — 85% | Strong Setup | Calls

Score

IV Rank
$0.02
Bid/Ask Spread

Avg Daily Volume

AMD passed 6 out of 7 rules (only missed Unusual Activity). Strong breakout gap with +7.26% move, breaking key resistance. Semiconductor sector showing relative outperformance. Liquidity is excellent — tight spreads, massive volume.

Go Maz Suggested: 225C April 16, target $235, stop $210

Ed's Framework Adaptation: Look at May expiry, $240-250 strike range for 20-delta. Expected cost ~$150-250.

NVDA — 85% | Strong Setup | Calls

IV Rank (Low!)

NVDA also passed 6/7 rules. Bull flag pattern continuation, breaking $175.20 resistance. The big story here is the IV Rank of only 28 — that means implied volatility is low relative to the past year, which means options are cheap. This is exactly what Ed talks about — low IV is the ideal time to buy options.

Go Maz Suggested: 180 Call April 18, target $185-188, stop $174

Ed's Framework Adaptation: May expiry, $195-200 strike for 20-delta. Best value play on the board due to low IV.

BA (Boeing) — 78% | Strong Setup | Calls

78%
Score

IV Rank
$0.03
Bid/Ask Spread
8.5M
Avg Daily Volume

BA breaking $199 resistance with bullish MA alignment across 20/50/200 day averages. Bull flag pattern completing. Defense sector catalysts in play. IV Rank at 35 is favorable for buying calls.

Go Maz Suggested: $200-202 Call April 18, target $210-215, stop $195

Ed's Framework Adaptation: May expiry, $215-220 strike for 20-delta.

RIVN (Rivian) — 78% | Strong Setup | Puts

78%
Score
28
IV Rank (Low)
$0.08
Bid/Ask Spread
180K
Avg Daily Volume

RIVN is the bearish play on the board. EV sector weakness, breaking key support at $15.80, price below all major moving averages. The interesting thing here is the price — at $15.62, options are dirt cheap. A May put could cost $50-100 per contract. That's perfect for a $1K account practicing small positions.

Go Maz Suggested: $15 PUT April 18, target $14.25, stop $16.20

Ed's Framework Adaptation: May expiry, $14-15 puts. Budget-friendly directional play.

My Watchlist (Filtered for $1K Account)

Priority Research List

1. NVDA May Calls — Best value (lowest IV), strongest liquidity
2. AMD May Calls — Highest screener score, breakout momentum
3. RIVN May Puts — Cheapest play, fits small account perfectly
4. BA May Calls — Clean setup, defense catalysts

What I Still Need to Figure Out

The screener gave me the what. Ed's rules gave me the how. But I still need to figure out the execution on Tastytrade — specifically finding the right strike where delta is around 0.20 and the premium fits the ~$200 budget. That's the next step.

I also need to understand why some of these rules matter more than others. The "Rule Dots" system on Go Maz (green = pass, red = fail) gives a quick visual, but I want to understand the weight each rule carries. That's a question for Ed next session.
